At God’s Warrior, training is a sacred practice. Rooted in Tamil warrior traditions, we blend age-old wisdom with scientific methods and practical approach. Our school is a Temple of Learning — quiet, disciplined, and mindful — where respect, silence, and focus shape both body and spirit.
Founder – God's Warrior: The Traditional School of Yoga and Martial Arts
Asan Yogi A. Dharmaraj is a highly respected teacher and lifelong practitioner of traditional Tamil yoga and martial arts. As the founder of God’s Warrior: The Traditional School of Yoga and Martial Arts in India, he is committed to preserving and sharing the spiritual and physical disciplines rooted in ancient Tamil culture.
Born in Iluppuyir, Ariyalur District, into a humble family of farmers, his journey into yoga began at the age of eight under the influence of his elder brother, Yogi Ranjenderan. Early exposure to yogic practices like Kriya Yoga and Brahmacharya Yoga laid the foundation for a lifelong path of discipline and self-mastery.
As a teenager, Asan Yogi A. Dharmaraj adopted a strict satvic lifestyle—following a “no oil, no boil” diet—and deepened his yogic practices. Simultaneously, he trained in martial arts such as boxing and went on to represent Tamil Nadu at the national arena. His formal education began at YMCA and later evolved into advanced studies in yoga and martial arts.
He pursued his passion academically, earning an M.A. in Yoga from Madras University under the guidance of his mentor and well-wisher, Mrs. Loachana. He stayed with her during the final 10 years of her life—a deeply transformative period that enriched his understanding of yoga beyond academics. He later completed an M.Sc. in Varmakalai from Tamil Nadu Sports University.
In addition to yoga, Asan Yogi A. Dharmaraj has trained in traditional Tamil martial and healing arts including Silambam, Meipadam, Karalakattai, Karate, and Varmakalai. He considers yoga the foundational force behind his achievements in martial arts, physical wellness, and spiritual growth.
A unique aspect of his discipline is his commitment to fasting and dietary purity. For over 15 years, he has maintained a two-meal-a-day routine. Every three months, he follows a 48-day all-natural food regimen. He has also completed rigorous fasting cycles where he consumed only 200 ml of water mixed with green leaf juice daily for 14 to 15 days—demonstrating extraordinary self-discipline and detoxification practices.
Asan Yogi A. Dharmaraj has developed specialized yoga programs tailored to various physical conditions and age groups. His therapeutic approach has helped individuals recover from chronic conditions such as diabetes, back pain (including disc compression, bulge, and dislocation), cervical issues, vertigo, thyroid imbalance, and sciatica.
Honored with the title “Varmach Chudar,” Asan Yogi A. Dharmaraj continues to inspire and guide thousands of students worldwide. Through his teachings, he carries forward the legacy of Tamil yogic wisdom and martial traditions with clarity, compassion, and purpose.
We believe everyone has an inner fire — a potential to live with focus, energy, and grace. Our programs help you connect with that fire. Whether you're a child learning to balance, an adult seeking clarity, or a seeker of cultural roots, God’s Warrior welcomes you.
We envision a future where the values of our ancestors are not lost in time, but practiced with purpose — where Meipadam and Yogam are recognized not only for their cultural richness but for their power to heal, empower, and transform lives across the world.
Our lessons are not just physical — they’re emotional, mindful, and deeply cultural. Every movement carries meaning. Every breath brings awareness.
Whether you’re 7 or 70, you’ll find that these ancient practices adapt to your pace, your purpose, and your potential.
We respect individuality, personal boundaries, and learning needs. Training is offered in formats that are inclusive, safe, and supportive.
Weight loss, strength, focus, posture, flexibility — yes, they will come. But beyond that, you will gain a sharper mind, a stronger spirit, and a deeper connection to self and culture.
Training with The Gods Warrior has been a life-changing experience. I joined to learn Silambam and Yoga, but I gained so much more—discipline, mental clarity, and inner strength. The teachers are highly knowledgeable and supportive, and every session feels like a journey of self-discovery. I feel more confident, focused, and spiritually balanced than ever before.

The Gods Warrior blends tradition with modern teaching beautifully. I enrolled my son for Meipadam and Silambam classes, and within weeks, I could see improvements in his posture, discipline, and confidence. The holistic approach, rooted in ancient wisdom, makes learning engaging and meaningful. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to strengthen both body and mind.

Welcome to The God’s Warrior, where timeless traditions of Tamil Nadu — Yoga, Meipadam, Silambam, Karlakattai, and Varmakalai — are preserved and passed on with modern relevance.
