Yoga: The True Path to Strength

Many people believe that strength can only be developed through weight training. However, this is not true. Yoga itself can build tremendous power when practiced correctly.

In yoga, there are movements such as jump-through and jump-back. These are not easy techniques. They demand strong core stability, powerful arms, and full-body coordination. Without sufficient strength, these movements simply aren’t possible.

During these transitions, you are lifting your entire body weight—often 60–70 kilograms—repeatedly throughout a single session, sometimes 40–50 times or more. This is far beyond ordinary push-ups. It is continuous bodyweight lifting combined with balance, breath control, and awareness.

So when people say that strength can only be developed through weight training, it shows they may not yet understand yoga in its true depth. When yoga is practiced properly and systematically, it develops strength, endurance, balance, flexibility, focus, and inner stability—all together.

I personally practice martial arts, traditional conditioning methods, and Karalakattai, alongside yoga. I share many of these practices on YouTube for reference. I don’t claim to be the strongest person in the world—I am simply one among many practitioners who have experienced real strength through disciplined practice.

Yoga is not just about flexibility, meditation, or relaxation.
It is a complete system that develops the entire human body and mind.

When understood and practiced in the proper way, yoga builds powerful, resilient, and balanced individuals.
